MIAS 2024: Lynk & Co 05 is a 254 HP crossover coupe
Lynk & Co's lineup in PH consists of the 01 PHEV, the 06, and the 05

When Lynk & Co distributor United Asia Automotive Group Inc (UAAGI) officially launched its lineup of vehicles during the first day of this year's Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), we were surprised to see that they had several surprises in-store.
Aside from revealing the full specs and prices of the Lynk & Co 01 PHEV and the 06, the automaker also launched the Lynk & Co 05. Unlike the previously-mentioned vehicles which have a traditional crossover design, the 05 comes with a sportier coupe-like profile. The result is a more rakish look that appears to have been inspired by the likes of the BMW X4 and X6.

Despite the similarity in shape, the 05 is still uniquely Lynk & Co thanks to its distinct design. It gets the same front fascia design as the 01 and 06 crossovers like the “Aurora Borealis” daytime running lights, adaptive LED headlights, and the massive (and stylish) 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235/45 series tires. The rear, on the other hand, gets eye-catching “Energy Cube” LED rear combination taillights that are sure to attract onlookers and bystanders.
Size-wise, the 05 measures 4592mm long, 1879mm wide, 1628mm tall, and has a 2734mm wheelbase. It also has a generous ground clearance of 213mm which is nearly on par with bigger frame-based SUVs.

While some might expect the Lynk & Co 05 will get a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, it instead gets a more powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that pumps out 254 PS at 5500 rpm and 350 Nm of torque between 1800 - 4800 rpm. Power is then sent to an 8-speed automatic transmission by Aisin with paddle shifters. The 05 also comes with a BorgWarner AWD system for optimal grip over any road conditions plus several drive modes; Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Off-Road.
When it comes to features, the Lynk & Co 05 is packed to the brim. From a 10-speaker system by Infinity, Nappa & Nubuck leather bucket seats, a 12.7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a power tailgate, a fully digital instrument panel, and a wireless charging pad, the Lynk & Co 05 is loaded.

For extra peace of mind, the 05 comes with plenty of intelligent driver aids like adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and more.

The Lynk & Co 05 is available at a suggested retail price of PHP 2.748 million.
