MIAS 2023: Peugeot PH launches Active variants of 3008, 5008
The Peugeot 3008 and 5008 are now available in Allure and Active variants

Peugeot is making its presence felt at this year’s Manila International Auto Show. Aside from giving us a preview of the all-electric e-2008, the French automaker also revealed new variants of the 3008 and 5008.
Joining the top-of-the-line Allure variants of the 3008 and 5008 are the new Active models. Serving as the new entry-level versions of both the 3008 and 5008 crossover SUVs, the new offerings will allow interested customers to have a wider selection aside from the top-of-the-line Allure models.

“I am proud to announce that the Peugeot 3008 SUV and the Peugeot 5008 SUV will now be available in two variants: Active and Allure. With two variants, each with its own character and persona, our discerning Filipino customers will have a wider selection of Peugeot vehicles to choose from to find the best match for their lifestyle needs,” said Maricar Parco, Peugeot Philippines Brand Head.
Like the Allure variants, the Active versions of the 3008 and 5008 SUVs get the same stylish exterior and interior design. Both vehicles also come with the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 165 PS at 6000 rpm with 240 Nm of torque and is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

However, the 3008 Active and 5008 Active are more affordable with the former selling for PHP 2.090 million while the latter retailing for PHP 2.275 million. That’s because the new Active models come with fewer features without making the vehicles bare.

While the Allure offerings get full LED taillights and headlights, the Active versions get partial LED taillights and headlights. The chrome side mirror caps have been replaced with body-colored ones while the interior ambient lighting has been removed from the Active models. An 8-inch touchscreen replaces the much bigger 10-inch touchscreen display. In addition, the new offerings only come with fabric seats instead of leather and the front cupholders don’t get eye-catching LED lighting.
Other amenities that are only available on the Allure models include a wireless charging pad, a sunroof, a lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring.
