MIAS 2023: Chery PH reveals 2023 Tiggo 7 Pro MHEV
Mild-hybrid version of Chery Tiggo 7 Pro revealed, launches soon

After showing the public a teaser image of a new variant of the Tiggo 7 Pro, Chery Auto Philippines has officially previewed the electrified version of its crossover.
This is the 2023 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro MHEV, and it benefits from mild-hybrid technology. Not only did the Tiggo 7 Pro MHEV get an electrified turbocharged engine, but it also gets some neat changes to make it stand out from its ICE counterpart.
Starting with the hardware upgrades, the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine now comes with a 48V belt-starter generator (BSG) which replaces the regular alternator. While no official figures have been revealed yet for PH, international versions get a total system output of 155 PS and 230 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to a 9-speed CVT that drives the front wheels.

Since the Tiggo 7 Pro is now a mild-hybrid, it gets fuel-saving technologies like regenerative braking, an auto start/stop system, and torque assist which provides additional acceleration while under load.
When it comes to exterior changes, the Tiggo 7 Pro MHEV gets a new pair of LED headlights, a slightly revised “Sunshine Galaxy” grille, and a new set of alloy wheels. The changes may not be drastic, but it's enough to make the mild-hybrid version of the crossover stand out from the regular ICE variant.

Over to its interior, the mild-hybrid crossover pretty much gets the same cabin design and features as the non-hybrid variant. It gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a fully-digital climate control system, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, power-adjustable front seats, a full-leather upholstery, and cruise control buttons.

Pricing and other details about the 2023 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro MHEV will be revealed at a later date.
