MG Philippines launches 2026 TRQ L; prices start at PHP 1.2M
MG Motor Philippines launches TRQ L, its first model in the pickup truck segment

MG Motor Philippines likes the challenge of taking on the most competitive segments in the country. From crossovers, the brand now has its sights in making its presence in the pickup truck segment with their latest launch.
Making its Philippine debut is the 2026 TRQ L – the pickup truck that MG claims was built for both work and play. Launched with two variants, the TRQ L is MG’s offering for those who need a pickup that could take on workhorse duties on the weekday and go on an adventure on the weekends.

The TRQ L imposes its presence on the road with its massive front grille that houses the MG logo at the center, along with standard features such as a sprayed-on bedliner and 16-inch all-terrain tires. The range-topping model has a few more styling additions such as a sports bar, roof rails, side step board and fender flares painted in black.
Size-wise, the 2026 TRQ L stands at 5365mm long, 1960mm wide, 1857mm tall and has a wheelbase of 3155mm. The bed size, on the other hand, measures 1485mm long, 1510mm wide and 530mm tall. It has a payload capacity of 1055 kg, and can easily tower over obstacles with its 215mm of ground clearance.

Inside, the TRQ L comes standard with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, along with manual climate control and rear A/C vents. A 6-way power adjustable driver seat is available for the top-spec model.
Under the hood of the MG TRQ L is a 2.0L direct injection turbo diesel engine that makes 161 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Customers have a choice between a 6-speed manual for the entry variant or an 8-speed automatic for the top-spec comfort model. Interestingly, MG is not offering a 4x4 option for the TRQ L, so both transmission choices come with rear-wheel-drive.
In terms of safety, the TRQ L comes with dual front airbags, cruise control, hill descent control (HDC), electronic stability program (ESP), and a reverse camera with dynamic guidelines for good measure.
The 2026 MG TRQ L is available in Warm White, Astral Silver, Metal Black, and Metal Ash Gray, with Scarlet Red offered exclusively for the Automatic variant.
Prices of the 2026 MG TRQ L are as follows:
2026 MG TRQ L AT 4x2: PHP 1,338,888 (introductory price of PHP 1,318,888)
2026 MG TRQ L MT 4x2: PHP 1,248,888 (introductory price of PHP 1,198,888)

The introductory prices will be offered exclusively to the first 200 customers, who will also enjoy two complimentary accessories — Tailgate Assist and Corner Step — as part of their purchase.
