MG Philippines holds hybrid drive event for bank partners
MG Philippines showcases hybrid tech with exclusive drive for bank partners

MG Philippines recently staged the MG Hybrid Experience Drive, an exclusive event for its bank partners that highlighted the brand’s latest hybrid offerings: the all-new MG ZS Hybrid+ and the new MG3 Hybrid+. The activity also put the spotlight on MG Pilot, the brand’s advanced driver-assistance system.
A total of 40 bank officers from some of the country’s leading financial institutions joined the event, including BDO, Bank of China, BPI, China Bank Savings, China Banking Corporation, EastWest Bank, Maybank, PNB, PSBank, Philtrust, RCBC, Security Bank, and Sterling Bank of Asia.

The day kicked off at MG Greenhills with a briefing and breakfast before the convoy set off. The route took participants through EDSA, Skyway, SLEX, CALAX, and the winding roads of Tagaytay, giving them a mix of traffic, highway, and uphill conditions to experience how MG’s hybrids perform in real-world Filipino driving scenarios.
The group arrived at Sinta Restaurant in Tagaytay, which also features a mini-museum showcasing works of nine National Artists. There, guests enjoyed a four-course meal specially curated by international award-winning chef Ariel Manuel.

To demonstrate real-world efficiency, MG organized a fuel economy challenge. Security Bank topped the event with an impressive 25.6 km/L in the MG ZS Hybrid+, followed by BPI with 23.8 km/L, also in the ZS Hybrid+, while EastWest Bank managed 20.8 km/L with the MG3 Hybrid+. These results underscored the hybrids’ potential to deliver savings at the pump while lowering emissions.
Participants also got hands-on with MG Pilot, testing features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Assist, Intelligent Speed Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Traffic Jam Assist—systems designed to make driving safer and more convenient.

Beyond the drive, the event strengthened MG’s ties with the banking sector. The company is working closely with its partners to roll out more accessible financing programs and faster loan approvals, helping more Filipinos shift to hybrid mobility.
With the ZS Hybrid+ and MG3 Hybrid+, MG Philippines is looking to make hybrid driving not only more attainable but also a smarter and greener choice for today’s motorists.
