MG D90 SUV getting closer to PH launch
MG D90 SUV to be offered with at least three variants, and 4WD

Back in April, during the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), MG Philippines hinted at entering the pickup-based SUV segment where the likes of the Everest, Fortuner, Montero Sport, and Terra are dominating with the D90.
Guess what, it looks like the brand is getting closer to finally introducing its first diesel-powered model to the market. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has released the homologation documents of the 2025 MG D90, which makes the SUV eligible to be registered in the country.
Currently, the LTO has green-lighted three variants of the D90, with all being offered with four-wheel drive as standard. There’s the entry-level Com, which is a 7-seater that comes with 18-inch wheels, while the top-spec Lux will be offered with a choice of seating for 6 or 7 occupants and 20-inch wheels as standard.
Size-wise, the D90 measures 5046mm long, 2016mm wide, 1876mm tall, and a wheelbase of 2950mm based on the LTO file. The minimum ground clearance also measures 300mm, which is a lot for SUV standards.

Regardless of the variant, the MG D90 will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine. Based on the previewed model at MIAS, the powerplant generates 215 PS and 400 Nm of torque, and is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission with the aforementioned 4WD system.
Recently, we got hold of information that MG is also looking to introduce the pickup equivalent of the D90, which is the TRQ. That model has likewise been given the LTO homologation documents, so there’s good reason to believe that MG could hold a simultaneous launch of the two models sometime soon.
