Mercedes-Benz PH updates CLA, GLB for 2024
Mercedes-Benz Philippines introduces updates to CLA sedan and GLB seven-seat crossover for 2024

It was back in 2019 that Mercedes-Benz launched the second-generation CLA sedan. At the same year, the Silver Arrow badge stepped into the seven-seater compact crossover arena with the GLB.
Five years later, both vehicles considered as the “Baby Benz” in their respective segments are being given new features to keep it up to date, and are now being offered by Mercedes-Benz Philippines in their dealerships.

Beginning with the updated CLA, the sedan’s front end has been slightly redesigned with bigger side intake openings. The light signature on the LED High Performance headlamps are also new, and now comes with adaptive highbeam assist. Rounding up the exterior updates are a fresh set of 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels that enhance the CLA’s presence on the road.

Inside, the CLA sedan gets the latest MBUX Multimedia System on its all-digital instrument display with the 10.25-inch touchscreen for better connectivity. In terms of the cabin layout, the CLA has expanded storage options on its reconfigured center console that has a 12V power outlet and a USB port for charging. The cabin also has LED ambient lighting that lets customers choose between 64 color options to tailor their driving environment to their liking.

Mercedes-Benz carried over the 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, but it now produces 163 PS and 270 Nm of torque paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Other new safety features for the 2024 CLA include Active Brake Assist, Attention Assist, and the Guard 360 anti-theft alarm.

On the other hand, the GLB likewise gets its own styling updates. In front, the crossover looks more rugged with the “goggle-style” black cladding that surrounds its lower bumper intakes. For the GLB 200 AMG Line, the crossover gets 19-inch five spoke light alloy wheels, and LED High Performance headlights as standard.

The cabin also has the updated MBUX Multimedia System, while customers can continue enjoying the GLB’s impressive 1812mm of luggage space with the second row seats folded in a 40/20/40 split configuration.

Much like the CLA, the GLB also has its 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbo putting out 163 PS and 270 Nm of torque, while the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission drives the front wheels.
Prices of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLA and GLB are as follows:
2024 Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 Progressive – PHP 3,990,000
2024 Mercedes-Benz GLB 200 AMG Line – PHP 4,590,000
