Mazda PH gives CX-9 a mild update for 2022
2022 Mazda CX-9 gets better connectivity, active safety, G-Vectoring Plus updates.

Mazda opened 2022 with an update to its CX-9 premier crossover offering. The CX-9 now comes with improved tech and new i-Activesense safety suite.

While there have not been any significant changes in styling, the interior gets a new 9.2-inch infotainment system which now offers Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity. It also offers a new wireless charging pad for mobile devices, as standard.
The electronic parking brake system now gets an additional 'Auto Hold' function, which comes in handy for stop-and-go traffic situations. Those who like a dynamic drive will also like the new paddle shifters integrated to the steering wheel.

Under the hood is the same Skyactiv-G 2.5L Dynamic Turbo engine rated at 231PS and 420Nm of torque, this is mated to a six-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic transmission. A new G-Vectoring Plus vehicle dynamics control gives better stability.

For 2022, the CX-9 gets a new 'Black Edition' which aims to emanate a stylish and distinct presence with every drive with black finished accents starting from the front grille and side mirror covers. It also gets 20-inch Black Alloy Wheels to give it youthful sportiness and refinement. Inside, it gets Burgundy Leather Seats and red stitching on the leather steering wheel.

In terms of safety, the top-spec Exclusive trim, as well as the Black Edition, now get the new i-Activesense safety suite which gives Radar Cruise Control, which automatically maintains the vehicle’s distance to the car it is following when activated. It also comes with Smart City Brake Support for the front and rear to reduce the probability of collision with oncoming vehicles while maneuvering in and out of parking spaces; Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
The 2022 Mazda CX-9 lineup is priced as follows:
CX-9 AWD EXCLUSIVE at Php 2,990,000
CX-9 BLACK EDITION at Php 2,790,000
CX-9 TOURING at Php 2,490,000
