Mazda Philippines is ending the year with the launch of the new CX-9 cross over SUV. The debut of the seven-seater was at the Mazda Makati dealership along Pasong Tamo Makati City.
The CX-9 boasts a 3.7 liter 24-valve DOHC v6 with 277 PS at 6250 RPM and 366nM of torque at 4250 RPM which is transmitted by a 6 speed automatic transmission to 20 inch rims that spin tires on 245/50 profile rubber with its all-wheel drive system. It has an exterior that's futuristic with prominent sharp edges combined with soft round panels. Windshield wipers with rain sensors are also standard. Inside it has 3 rows of leather seats, leather steering wheel and a dashboard with integrated AC controls and 6-disc in dash audio system that can read mp3s. Front row and 2nd row AC vents adorn the cabin. The comfy cabin is kept right side up with roll stability control and dynamic stability control. Double door seals and sound-deadening foam found around the car and even in the engine bay result in low noise levels.
"The Mazda CX-9 is a new generation SUV that breathes life to our Zoom-Zoom promise. Stylish, insightful and spirited, the Mazda CX-9 combines practicality with an awesome driving experience. It is a vehicle for those who want it all- style, power, precision, quality and safety," said Eric Malimban, AVP-Mazda Philippines.
The CX-9 can be had in three colors, Stormy Blue Mica, Radiant Ebony Mica and Crystal White Pearl Mica for P 2.59 million.
