Mazda CX-4 to debut at Beijing Motor Show
Mazda will debut the latest addition to its new-generation model lineup in Beijing

Mazda is set to add a new model to its lineup after the Japanese automaker announced that the CX-4 crossover SUV will make its global debut at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show in April.
Details regarding the vehicle are scarce but, Mazda did say that the CX-4 is designed to deliver a Jinba-ittai driving experience – or the oneness between a car and its driver.
With that in mind, could the CX-4 be the production version of the Koeru concept that was revealed by Mazda during last year's Frankfurt Motor Show?
As a review, the Koeru concept is described by Mazda as a new generation crossover that goes beyond traditional styling. The concept features an aggressive fascia, prominent wheel arches, sleek character lines and a sporty rear end.
In terms of size, the Koeru concept measures 4600mm long, 1900mm wide and 1500mm tall with a wheelbase of 2700mm.
Mazda CEO Masamichi Kogai said last December 2015 that the company is considering the Koeru concept for production. Kogai added that if the concept does become a production car, the Koeru might slot beside the CX-5 as a sporty alternative.
In addition to the CX-4, the Japanese automaker will feature twelve vehicles, including new-generation models such as the Mazda3, Mazda CX-5, Mazda6 and race cars prepared for the Mazda-sponsored MZ Ruisi Racing Team competing in the China Touring Car Championship (CTCC).
