Mazda BT-50 Pangolin Edition II now on active duty
Mazda Philippines turns over BT-50 Pangolin Edition II to Katala Foundation

Mazda Philippines has been working to help raise awareness about the Philippine Pangolin – a critically endangered mammal that’s endemic to the Palawan region.
A little over three years ago, they launched a special edition of the BT-50 pickup truck that was named after the humble anteater.
Now, it’s time for the second BT-50 Pangolin Edition to do its duty in preserving wildlife. Mazda Philippines has turned over the BT-50 Pangolin Edition II to Katala Foundation Inc. - a non-government organization that’s dedicated to help and preserve endangered species in the country.

The BT-50 Pangolin Edition will share its duties with the first BT-50 truck has been serving as a reliable steed of Katala Foundation, Inc. The first Pangolin Edition pickup truck has clocked in more than a hundred thousand kilometers on its odometer, going through the most remote places in the Palawan region.
Since the first BT-50 Pangolin went on active duty, Dr. Sabine Schoppe, the director of Katala Foundation’s Palawan Pangolin Conservation Program, said that the non-profit organization was able to rescue, protect, and discover a bigger number of Pangolins in the region.
With the new Pangolin Edition II, Dr. Schoppe and her team gets another capable and comfortable 4x4 that should help to further their efforts in promoting and educating the population in preserving critically threatened animals in the country.
