Manila opens Luneta drive-thru vaccination to everyone
Manila and non-Manila residents can drive to get their booster vax at Luneta drive-thru facility today

With 30,000+ active cases and rising, the city government of Manila has opened a four-lane drive-thru booster vaccine facility at the Quirino Grandstand in Luneta today January 13 (Thursday).

It is open to Manila and non-Manila residents but only those driven in four-wheeled vehicles with up to a maximum passenger capacity of five people. The booster shots will be given on a first-come, first-served basis so a registration form, a schedule, or booking is not required.

The facility’s operating hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and it will offer all vaccine brands. It can accommodate an estimated 300 vehicles per day or around 1,500 individuals.

Two-wheel riders, meanwhile, can go to Kartilya ng Katipunan in Lawton, beside the Manila City Hall, for their drive-thru booster shot vaccination. It is also open to the general public, whether they’re riding motorcycles or bicycles.

"We welcome you to the City of Manila, basta tayo tulong-tulong muna. Ang importante, ma-booster yung tao, mabakunahan yung tao para maiwasan ang kamatayan sa impeksyon ng (as long as we help one another. What is important is that people get the booster shot to avoid deaths from) COVID-19. Vaccination is the solution. That is the only way to protect yourself and your family," said Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso.
