Lynk & Co's PHEV system can cover over 1,400 km
The EM-P system by Lynk & Co produces a combined 592 PS and a range of over 1,000 km and beyond

Lynk & Co made its presence felt at this year's Auto China in Beijing by revealing its electrified lineup that is powered by the brand's EM-P powertrain. Serving as the brand's plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technology, the main drive motor of Lynk & Co's EM-P combines the efficiency of a hybrid with the performance of an ICE.
The EM-P system has a power output of up to 217 PS and has an electric 4WD mode that gives it a total system output of 592 PS. This gives the vehicle the ability to sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The synergy between the drive motor and hybrid engine delivers strong mid-speed acceleration which ensures safe and decisive overtaking.

Also worth mentioning about the EM-P system is that it features direct and parallel drive modes with the hybrid engine regulating speed across three gears. This maintains torque and minimizes power loss at any battery level while also ensuring quick acceleration and consistent power delivery.
Vehicles powered by Lynk & Co's EM-P system have up to 245 km of range and a combined range of over 1,000 km. The highest recorded vehicle with an EM-P system was able to travel for over 1,400 km.

The EM-P system by Lynk & Co can be found in various models like the 06, 07, 08, and 09. For now, it seems the plug-in hybrid system has yet to be offered in the Philippines. However, given the growing popularity of PHEVs, perhaps it will only be a matter of time before the automaker eventually brings it here. After all, it combines the very best features of an EV and a hybrid.
