LTO welcomes Atty. Martin Ontog as new Executive Director
We have a new LTO Executive Director

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has welcomed Atty. Martin Ontog as its new Executive Director following his formal oath-taking yesterday, February 5, 2026, before Executive Secretary Ralph Recto. Following the ceremony, Atty. Ontog reaffirmed his commitment to public service before the LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Markus Lacanilao.

For those who are not familiar, the role of Executive Director in the LTO helps ensure the agency runs smoothly on a daily basis by coordinating offices, overseeing operations, and assisting the LTO Chief in implementing policies. While the LTO Chief sets the direction, the Executive Director focuses on making sure plans are carried out efficiently and public services continue to run properly.
Atty. Ontog succeeds Atty. Greg Pua, Jr., who served as the agency’s Executive Director since June 2024. Atty. Pua is now serving as Board Member of the LTFRB. The LTO extends its warmest congratulations to Atty. Ontog and is looking forward to his leadership in further strengthening the agency’s commitment to efficient, transparent, and people-centered public service.
