LTO Tracker: How to get your license or plate brought to your doorstep
New LTO program wants to make it easier to get your MV plates and DL

So the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has recently launched yet another online program geared at improving the experience when procuring the two primary things we motorists need from them: license cards and license plates.
Called the LTO Tracker (www.ltotracker.com), this is a new project of LTO and the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to reduce the back and forth if the card or plate isn’t available after renewing or purchasing, and cutting down wasted time at LTO waiting areas. Unlike the previous project of the LTO National Capital Region that had two websites for inquiring about plates and licenses but still required a motorist to physically pick it up, the new LTO Tracker allows you to have it delivered in the same way that you have your PSA documents or even passports dropped off at your home or office.

The launch of the LTO Tracker is in line with the marching orders from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to enhance the experience of Filipinos by making government services more accessible. As instructed, DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon and LTO Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II have made LTO Tracker available and partnered with accredited delivery service providers to carry it out.
“The era of waiting in line for hours is coming to an end. With LTOTracker, government service is finally catching up with the digital age, delivering speed, convenience, and transparency like never before,” said Secretary Dizon in a press release.

Of course, there is an additional fee with the delivery service, and it varies depending on the motorist’s delivery location. But if the system is functioning as it was intended to be, then that will save hours that would have been wasted driving/commuting to an LTO center and sitting in the waiting area to retrieve it.

Still, we would prefer more consistency to the point where every motorist can get their license card when they renew, and every owner gets a plate when their new car is released at a dealership. That will likely be a dream for now.
