LTO, PNP-HPG to boost presence in Marilaque after fatal "Superman" crash
Marilaque road to see increased LTO and HPG presence after road crash leaves one dead

The Land Transportation Office, along with PNP’s Highway Patrol Group are now stepping in to ensure the safety of all motorists passing through the Marilaque road in Rizal.
LTO Chief Asec. Atty. Vigor Mendoza II and PNP-HPG Director Police Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta have agreed to boost enforcer presence in the area and prevent Marilaque Road from being turned into a motorcycle exhibition area.

That is after a motorcycle crash happened when two riders recklessly performed the so-called “Superman” stunt on the public road. The video even went viral on social media as the crash claimed a person's life while causing multiple injuries to other riders in the area that day. The other surviving rider is now facing criminal charges in connection to the reckless stunt while being served a show cause order (SCO) by the LTO to explain why his driver’s license should not be revoked.
The directive also includes the coordination of the local government and local police force to help out in keeping the Marilaque road safe for all motorists.
“We would like to remind the motorcycle riders again to refrain from turning public roads as your exhibition areas. Napaka-iresponsableng gawain po ito. May mga tamang lugar para doon at hindi dapat ang mga kalsada dahil nilalagay ninyo sa alanganin ang buhay ng mga road users,” said Asec Mendoza.
