Still too occupied to pay a visit to your nearest LTO office? Well, carry on then.

Back in August, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) announced a one-month extension regarding the registration validity of motor vehicles with plates ending in 8, 9, and 0. Now, the agency has given motorists another chance to renew their tags without being charged with a penalty.

LTO released an advisory on their official Facebook page, saying owners of cars with plates ending in 8 now have until October 31. That's another 30 days to visit the LTO's offices and have their registrations updated.

Furthermore, the extension also covers individuals who possess student permits, drivers' licenses, conductor's licenses as well as medical certificates that have expired in August and September.

Based on the agency's post, this is to give those who may have been affected by the recent typhoon Karding enough time to prioritize their recovery. In addition, it's also a way of LTO to keep their offices from being crowded and prevent the rise of active cases in the country.

But still, as long as time permits, it's better not to wait until the last day to transact with the LTO to avoid further hassle.
