LTO approves Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Hybrid for PH
Toyota Land Cruiser Prado hybrid gets homologation papers from LTO

The all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is just about to celebrate its first year in the Philippine market, and yet an important update could be coming soon.
The Land Transportation Office has released the homologation documents of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Hybrid, deeming the electrified off-road SUV to be eligible for registration in the country.
Based on the public document, the Land Cruiser Prado Hybrid will be powered by a 2393cc four-cylinder engine combined with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery to form its hybrid powertrain.
This hybrid version of the Land Cruiser Prado significantly raises the performance of the off-road-focused SUV. From 281 PS and 430 Nm of torque in the current non-hybrid version, the combination of the 2.4L inline-four turbo and the hybrid system bumps up the figures to 330 PS and 630 Nm of torque.
Furthermore, the Land Cruiser Prado’s Hybrid version is exempt from number coding under the EVIDA law.
Currently, Toyota Motor Philippines is yet to give teasers or any possible hints of a model launch. But given that they’re wrapping up the TGR Philippine Cup in early August, Q4 could shape up as a very busy quarter for TMP.
