LTO and PNP join forces to combat online fixers
Fixers beware, the LTO and PNP are coming for you

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) officially joins forces with the Philippine National Police-Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) to strengthen their fight against cybercriminals, especially those engaged in illegal online transactions with the LTO, a.k.a. online fixers.
According to LTO, this collaboration, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), is a direct response to the President’s directive to ensure all government digital transactions are secure and that data privacy is strictly enforced.
The MOU was signed by the LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II and PNP-ACG Director Police Brigadier General Bernard Yang.

“The cooperation of the LTO and the PNP-ACG is essential to make the digital platforms for land transportation-related transactions safe to all our clients, particularly on the aspect of data privacy and online scams,” said Mendoza.
The agreement establishes a framework for a collaborative approach in areas where the two agencies’ mandates intersect. Under the partnership, the LTO and the PNP-ACG will engage in efficient information-sharing, joint investigations, and coordinated enforcement to pursue aggressive operations against online scammers and fixers—fixers who thrive through social media and other digital platforms.
For his part, PBGen. Yang hailed the MOU as a powerful step toward protecting citizens not only on the roads but also in cyberspace, reinforcing the government’s intensified efforts against cybercrime.
