Lotus Cars Manila now accepting orders for Emira
Autohub Group announces orders for Lotus Emira now available; price starts at PHP 8,688,000

The last Lotus vehicle to be powered by an internal combustion engine will be arriving in the Philippines later this year. Lotus Cars Manila announced that the Emira sports car, which serves as a replacement for the Elise, Exige, and Evora, is now available for order. There’s no official date for the launch yet, but Autohub Group president Willy Tee Ten did confirm its arrival in 2022.

Official specs were not made available, but it seems like Lotus Cars Manila will be offering the Emira with the supercharged V6 engine sourced from Toyota. That engine produces 400 horsepower and 420 Nm torque. Both transmission options will also be available – a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 6-speed manual. In this configuration, the sports car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 km/h.

There’s no word yet whether the AMG-sourced turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four will be made available at a later date. For reference, this smaller engine produces around 350 horsepower and is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic. No other details were provided, but it looks like the model sold locally will be the Emira First Edition.

Aside from the announcement of its arrival, Lotus also revealed the price. The Emira First Edition V6 Supercharged M/T will retail for PHP 8,688,000, while the A/T version will cost PHP 8,888,000. It’s pricey, but you will own a piece of Lotus history. Remember, the Emira will be the last Lotus sports car to use an internal combustion engine. All other models after it will be electric only.
Expect more details about the Lotus Emira to be revealed in the coming months.
