LOOK: This Mitsubishi Delica Mini is channeling its inner Pajero
The Delica Mini goes retro for the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon thanks to DAMD

If there's another Mitsubishi we can only wish to have here in the Philippines besides the Delica D:5, it's probably the Delica Mini. Essentially the kei car version of the MPV, this pint-sized vehicle may be small in size, but it has bags of character and is quite practical despite its tiny dimensions.
Mitsubishi even created an AXCR support vehicle in 2024 to demonstrate that, despite its small size, it's more than capable of supporting the Triton during the rally race. But given the Delica Mini's quirky looks, the kei car also serves as a blank canvas for tuners to give it a flashier appearance.

Japanese tuner DAMD wasted no time in dressing up the Delica Mini for the upcoming 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon, and boy, were we surprised with what the tuner delivered. Instead of adding to its cutesy looks, DAMD transformed the Delica Mini into an MPV that resembles the first-generation Pajero/Montero.
Aptly called the “Dali” as a nod to the Dakar Rally from which the Pajero became known, the dressed-up Delica Mini gets a retro-inspired front fascia that consists of round headlights and a blacked-out grille, complete with old school turn signals that mirror those of the Pajero's. It still has the original bumper and “Delica” lettering at the front, but it now gets a special garnish that comes with gloss black & faux aluminum finishes.

Other exterior changes present on the DAMD Dali include new 15-inch Cantabile alloy wheels wrapped in 165/55 series tires, a roof basket to carry additional cargo, and faux wood/black decals on the body that add to the kei car's retro looks.
Under the hood, the 660cc turbocharged three-cylinder engine has been retained and continues to make 63 PS with 100 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to a CVT and is available with a full-time 4WD system for better grip & traction over any terrain.

If you happen to be in Tokyo and want to take a closer look at the dressed-up Delica Mini, it will be present at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon from January 9 – 11 at the Makuhari Messe.
