Look out Xpander Cross: 2024 Hyundai Stargazer X lands in PH
Hyundai Stargazer X puts the Honda BR-V, Suzuki XL7, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, and Toyota Veloz on notice

After making its global debut in Indonesia last August 2023, Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc (HMPH) has officially revealed its newest high-riding vehicle. Officially making its presence felt in the Philippines is the 2024 Hyundai Stargazer X, and it’s looking to give the likes of the Honda BR-V, Suzuki XL7, Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, and Toyota Veloz a run for their money.

The Stargazer X combines SUV-inspired looks with taller ground clearance - giving it a more rugged appearance than a regular Stargazer. It is then complemented by a larger grille, bumper overriders finished in silver, front & rear overfenders, roof rails, and silver accents on the rear bumper under garnish. In case you failed to notice them, the Stargazer X also gets stylish 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels that are exclusive to this particular model.
Size-wise, the high-riding MPV measures 4495mm long, 1815mm wide, 1710mm tall, and has a 2780mm wheelbase. This makes the Stargazer X longer by 35mm and taller by 15mm. Last but not least, it also has a more generous ground clearance of 200mm which is 15mm more than the standard Stargazer.

Hop inside and the Stargazer X features a more high-tech cabin. There’s a new digital instrument panel along with a 4.2-inch TFT LCD, along with neat touches of gloss black trim pieces on the dashboard which replaces the drab plastic housing found on the standard MPV. There’s also an electronic parking brake, a wireless phone charger, a host of USB charging ports, and remote engine start.
Infotainment comes in the form of an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment that supports wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Audiophiles will also appreciate the 8-speaker Bose sound system available on the Stargazer X.

Under the hood, the Stargazer X is powered by a 1.5-liter Smartstream four-cylinder engine that’s mated to an IVT driving the front wheels. Like the one found in the regular Stargazer, this one also makes 115 PS at 6300 rpm along with 144 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. Instead of having rear drum brakes, the Stargazer X gets disc brakes all around for better stopping power.

In terms of safety features, the Stargazer X comes with the following; anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill-start assist, speed-sensing door locks, a tire pressure monitoring system, a reverse camera, parking sensors, and a host of airbags.
For extra peace of mind, it’s also available with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) which includes; high-beam assist, forward collision avoidance, driver attention warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, blind-spot avoidance, and rear-cross traffic alert.

The 2024 Hyundai Stargazer X is yours for PHP 1.348 million.
