LOOK: Next-gen Mitsubishi Strada could look like the Outlander
Check out the new face of the upcoming sixth-generation Mitsubishi Strada

Earlier this year, spy photographers managed to spot what appeared to be the all-new Mitsubishi Strada. Sighted being driven near the Arctic Circle, the prototype looks like a test mule since it was still wearing the current Strada body along with a pair of what seem to be Mirage headlights.
Despite Mitsubishi's best efforts to throw off spy photographers, we were still able to tell that next-generation Strada could have a longer wheelbase. And since it's using Mirage headlights, this might also mean the Strada may get a different front fascia.

Fast forward to July, and it looks like Mitsubishi is already testing the final production body of the next-generation Strada. Based on the latest images taken by spies, it seems the pickup borrowed some inspiration from the Outlander plug-in hybrid (PHEV).
Despite the camo still hiding most of the truck, the new LED daytime running lights and bolder honeycomb grille do appear to give the pickup an Outlander-like appearance. It also comes with what appears to be a pair of T-shaped headlights which could have been inspired by the Xpander MPV.

As far as its roofline is concerned, Mitsubishi appeared to have carried it over from the outgoing generation. However, it's nice to see that Mitsubishi has kept the signature kink on the rear passenger windows for the new-generation model. Even the signature J-line for the passenger cab has been retained for the sixth-gen pickup.
Moving towards the rear, it's hard to see what Mitsubishi exactly changed. Perhaps the only obvious revision the automaker made is the use of new LED taillights, along with what looks to be a slightly redesigned tailgate.

Other details and changes on the all-new Mitsubishi Strada are not yet available. However, since we already know that the all-new Strada and Navara will be platform siblings, both trucks could share the same engines, similar chassis components, as well as transmission options.
With Mitsubishi already busy testing the next-generation Strada, we're hoping we are just only several months away before the big reveal.
