LOOK: All-new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado teased
After the GX, Toyota is now gearing up for the 2024 Land Cruiser Prado launch

About a month ago, Lexus wowed everyone when they revealed the all-new 2024 GX. Reimagined from the ground up, the body-on-frame SUV gets a more chiseled look that appears to have been inspired by the Land Rover Defender.
Not only that but the next-generation luxury SUV is now underpinned by the TNGA-F platform shared with the LX and is now available with a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 that makes 349 PS with 650 Nm of torque or a 2.4-liter turbo-hybrid inline-four that will come at a later date.
With the 2024 Lexus GX unveiled, most are now asking where is the next-generation Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. Well, we need not wonder anymore as the automaker is preparing for its eventual launch. Toyota USA has just dropped the first teaser images, and we like what we're seeing.

Posing alongside the Land Cruiser FJ40 from the 1960s, the all-new 2024 Land Cruiser Prado will be longer and will have chiseled bodywork just like its more luxurious Lexus cousin. Other details regarding the 2024 Land Cruiser Prado are not yet available, but since it's related to the recently-revealed Lexus GX, we can expect it to share some features.
For starters, it will likely be available with the 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 and the aforementioned 2.4-liter turbo-hybrid engine. And just like the GX and LX, it will also likely be underpinned by the TNGA-F platform complete with a 4WD system.
As for the vehicle itself, it will have a different look compared to the GX, albeit also featuring angular lines and muscular shapes. Thanks to the wonders of photo editing, we were able to check out its look beyond the obvious silhouette.

While it still has some similarities with the GX, it's quite apparent it will have unique body panels in order to stand out from the Lexus. It will also have a different set of headlights and taillights that appear to be bigger and more prominent. Last but not least are the protruding bumpers which not only give it a more purposeful look but also serve as a throwback to Land Cruiser Prados of yesteryears.
With no exact date yet as to when Toyota will actually launch the all-new Land Cruiser Prado, it's anyone's guess when it will be unveiled to the public. But given Toyota has already released teaser images in the US market, we might not have to wait long.
