LOOK: 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV spotted in PH
All-new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV already roaming on PH streets

Despite an appearance at this year's Manila International Auto Show and the launch of a special edition Xpander Cross in celebrating its 60th anniversary, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has had a relatively quiet start to 2023.
MMPC also brought the XFC Concept not too long ago which essentially previews an upcoming B-segment SUV. In fact, Mitsubishi has already released several teaser images of the production version which is slated to make its official debut in Indonesia in August 2023.

In the coming weeks (or months), however, MMPC may be launching an all-new vehicle – the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander.
Spotted recently on local roads, the all-new Outlander looks just like the fourth-generation model the company revealed in global markets. What's more interesting, however, is the fact that the vehicle comes with a conduction sticker that starts in Y. For those not in the know, this particular letter is specifically assigned to MMPC.

Powertrain details for the all-new Mitsubishi Outlander are not yet available. But thanks to the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) badge on the doors, we already know that the PH-spec Outlander will be electrified. Based on what international markets get, the 2024 Outlander PHEV comes with a 2.4-liter naturally-aspirated MIVEC inline-four assisted by a pair of electric motors and a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
Thanks to the more powerful motors, Mitsubishi says the Outlander PHEV generates a total system output of 251 PS and 450 Nm of torque. The larger battery pack also gives the crossover the ability to cruise on electric power for 61 km. On a full charge and a full tank of gasoline (56 liters to be exact), the automaker says the Outlander PHEV has an overall range of around 676 km.

With the 2024 Outlander PHEV already making rounds in the country, it might not be long before Mitsubishi officially launches it to the local market. For now, we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for any new information about the electrified crossover. We'll also be keeping our fingers crossed that the Outlander PHEV for the Philippines will have third-row seats.
