LIST: BMW and Mini models in PH affected by brake recall
Vehicles included in the brake recall are a mix of BMW and Mini models

Yesterday, we reported that Munich-based automaker BMW will initiate a global recall due to a brake-related issue. The said recall covers vehicles manufactured from mid-2022 to August 2024 and affects over 1.5 million vehicles worldwide. In addition, a further 320,000 vehicles undelivered in inventory are also part of the brake recall.
BMW Philippines has since confirmed that several vehicles sold in the country are part of the global recall. But which models need to have their integrated electronic control unit for the braking system checked by the automaker?
We reached out to BMW Asia and have received the list of models in the Philippines that are included in the recall. The list includes both BMW and Mini vehicles.
The full list includes the following nameplates;
BMW X1 (U11)

BMW X2 (U10)

BMW X5 LCI (G05)

BMW X6 LCI (G06)

BMW X7 LCI (G07)

BMW XM (G09)

BMW 5 Series (G60)

BMW 7 Series (G70)

MINI Cooper (F66)

MINI Cooper SE (J01)

MINI Countryman (U25)

Should your vehicle be part of the list, BMW Philippines may give you a call or notification. Alternatively, in case you notice something with your car's brakes, you can contact the automaker to check the vehicle.
