Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes F1 car now comes in Lego form
The latest addition to Lego's Speed Champion line includes Hamilton's F1 car

We have some good news for Formula 1 fans, especially those of 7-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and the Mercedes-AMG F1 team. You can now own a scale model of Hamilton's 2021 Mercedes-AMG W12 F1 car in Lego form. It’s arguably the coolest among the five new sets recently announced by the toymaker as part of the new Speed Champions line.

The car itself is an accurate recreation of Mercedes-AMG’s 2021 W12 challenger. It wears the black livery the team has used in the last two seasons, as not to mistake it for a generic Lego F1 car. There’s also a big 44 stamped on the front and sides to indicate it is Hamiton’s car. Interestingly, the F1 car is wearing wet tires instead of hard, medium, or soft slicks.

Since the Mercedes F1 car is part of the Speed Champions line, it won’t be too complicated to build. According to the Lego website, the kit comprises only 564 pieces, making it easy for you and your kids to assemble. Apart from Hamilton’s F1 car, also included in the set is the upcoming AMG Project One hypercar. Yes, there are two cars in one kit.
In addition to the cars, there are also two Minifigures, a racing helmet, a wig, and even a wrench. None of them appear to resemble Hamilton, but we suspect the one in the Mercedes-AMG racing suit is supposedly him.

Apart from the Mercedes-AMG models, another addition to the Speed Champion line is the Aston Martin kit. Like the Mercedes, there are two cars included – an Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro and a Vantage GT3. There are also kits for the Lamborghini Countach, Lotus Evija, and the 1970 Ferrari 512 M.
All these kits will be available on March 1, 2022, giving you time to save up.
