LEAKED: More powerful BMW XM Label Red will have 748 PS
Unlike the regular BMW XM, the Label Red will reportedly put out 95 PS more and nearly 200 Nm of extra torque

Yesterday, BMW officially revealed the XM super SUV. Powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 that's paired to an electric motor, the plug-in hybrid is essentially BMW M's 50th birthday gift to itself and to customers.
With a total system output of 653 PS and 800 Nm of torque, this 2.7-ton behemoth of a super SUV from Bavaria is both powerful and heavy. Despite its hefty weight, BMW claims the XM can go from 0 – 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds which is an impressive feat nonetheless.
But if you think the XM is already quick as it is, BMW is not yet done extracting more power out of its new super SUV. Say hello to the BMW XM Label Red, and you're not actually supposed to see it yet. That's because someone from BMW Austria accidentally posted it online.
Based on the lone image that was inadvertently released (the photo has since been removed), the XM Label Red has some unique exterior add-ons. From its namesake, the more powerful super SUV gets special red-colored accents on the grille, window surrounds, and the distinct black alloy wheels. Even the XM badge on the grille appears to have a special red finish. Interior photos are not yet available, but the automaker did mention that the red accents will also make their way to the cabin of the XM.
As mentioned earlier, the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor in the XM Label Red will churn out more horsepower and torque compared to the standard XM. With 748 PS and 997 Nm of torque, the Label Red cranks out an additional 95 PS plus an extra 197 Nm of pull. BMW has yet to reveal its sprint time from 0 – 100 km/h but we won't be surprised if it will be faster than the XM's already impressive 4.3 seconds.
With the cat (unofficially) out of the bag for the XM Label Red, BMW's plan to surprise everyone might have just been foiled by one of their own. Still, we certainly cannot wait to see this super SUV hit the roads very soon.
