Lagusnilad Manila rehab: Partial closure begins today May 2
Manila City government to rehabilitate Lagusnilad underpass until September 2023

To motorists coming from Quiapo going to Taft Avenue, you might want to think of taking alternative routes beginning today.
The Manila City government has partially closed the Lagusnilad underpass to begin road rehabilitation works in the area.

Motorists are advised to take the Padre Burgos route, which will lead them to Maria Orosa Street and Kalaw Avenue before turning right to Taft Avenue to reach their destination.
The underpass has been a major thoroughfare for PUVs, PUJs, and private vehicles for the longest time to reach the Kalaw and Pedro Gil areas in Manila. But over the years, road condition in Lagusnilad has deteriorated, and hampers the flow of traffic, as drivers try to avoid the many deep potholes and dips of the underpass.
According to the administration's official page, the repairs will be done at least until September 2023.
