Kia to showcase all-electric EV6 at PIMS 2022
Kia teases the EV6 crossover on their official Facebook page

In case you haven't noticed, next week's Philippine International Motor Show will feature a total of 13 automotive brands that will showcase their latest vehicles in the market.
One of those is Kia. With the motor show's focus on sustainable mobility, the Korean manufacturer has something in store that pretty much fits the theme of PIMS; they're bringing the EV6 electric crossover.

Kia Philippines has posted a teaser video on their official Facebook page showing the silhouette of the all-electric crossover. For starters, this is the Korean manufacturer's first-ever dedicated battery-electric vehicle (BEV).
Compared to Kia's current combustion-powered vehicles in the market, the Kia EV6 is sporting a unique look, which they call “Opposites Unite”. Unlike gas-powered Kias with the tiger-nose grille, the EV6 features a slim grille that's paired with sharp LED headlights in front, and a wraparound LED light strip at the rear.

The EV6 is essentially a twin of the Hyundai Ioniq 5, as both are underpinned by the e-GMP platform. This means the EV6 is available with either a 58 kWh or 77.4 kWh battery pack that gives it up to 520 km of driving range. In addition, Kia offers the EV6 in global markets in five trims. The standard range 2WD EV6 has a single-motor setup that produces 168 PS, while its top-spec GT-Line 4WD utilizes dual electric motors to produce 577 PS. For its accolades, the EV6 was awarded the 2022 European Car of the Year.
While Kia has yet to reveal official details of the PH market EV6, needless to say, the Korean manufacturer just gave us what to watch out for once PIMS 2022 opens its doors at the World Trade Center on September 15 to 18, 2022.
