Ken Block-tested Ram TRX Sandblast Edition is ready to play

When Ram first unleashed the TRX almost 2 years ago, we were blown away by its level of performance. With a Hellcat-derived 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI, it comes with a staggering 702 PS along with a healthy 881 Nm of pulling power.

Not only that, but the TRX comes with a fully customized suspension with 2.6-inch Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers, full-floating hubs, and an axle hop-damper. Ram claims that these features allow the TRX to deliver a comfortable ride even at significant speeds off-road.

What's even better is that Ram Philippines is now offering the super-truck at local dealerships since December of last year. All is well and good, but Ram it seems is not done improving the TRX to its full potential.

Making its debut across the Pacific is the 2022 Ram TRX Sandblast Edition. Offering enthusiasts a wider selection of exterior and interior enhancements, the dressed-up truck was made possible after Ram collaborated with Ken Block to make this variant a reality.

For starters, it comes with a unique Mojave Sand exterior paint that is paired with 18-inch black alloy wheels exclusive only to the Sandblast. It also comes with a dual-pane sunroof, spray-in bedliner, bed-step, and LED cab-mounted brake light for added visibility.

Hop inside and the TRX Sandblast gets Light Frost accent stitching, embroidered TRX seat back logos, unique carbon fiber accents, and a carbon-fiber D-cut steering wheel. It also comes with a heads-up display, a unique center console badge, and a driver's screen that features the TRX in Mojave Sand.

Don't expect to find any performance upgrades under the hood. The Sandblast Edition comes with the familiar 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 that doles out over 700 PS and 881 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission.

Thinking of getting one for yourself? Ram says the TRX Sandblast Edition will be available with a suggested retail price of USD 98,285 (or around PHP 5.2 million). Should Ram Philippines bring several examples here, expect it to be pricier than its SRP in the US.
