Astara Philippines announce Jun Cajayon as new GAC Motor PH Brand Head

GAC Motor Philippines is undergoing a major revamp in its local operations. After being acquired by Astara Philippines last month, its new distributor has announced who will lead the Chinese brand going forward.
Astara Philippines has appointed Redentor “Jun” Cajayon as the new Brand Head for GAC Motor Philippines. For the uninformed, Cajayon comes to Astara Philippines with close to 30 years of extensive sales, marketing, and network development experience gained from the automotive industry. His most recent tenure was with the Maxus brand, serving as its General Manager.
“We have achieved significant milestones in our first year with Peugeot and we are confident that we will do the same for GAC Motor this year. Jun is a seasoned executive with an impressive track record, and we are happy to have him on board to drive GAC Motor to new heights through impactful marketing and sales campaigns,” said Raoul Picello, managing director of Astara Philippines.
Under Astara, the brand is scheduled to open new showrooms and service facilities within the first quarter to further expand its network reach across the country. As Brand Head for GAC Motor Philippines, Jun Cajayon will be responsible for driving strategic marketing direction, sales programs, and dealer network development for the GAC Motor brand in the market.
GAC Motor Philippines is set to launch the all-new Empow sports sedan and GS8 SUV on January 18. With that said, this will be the first model launch of the brand with Jun Cajayon at the helm.
