Jetour reveals fully-loaded 2024 T-2 in UAE, PH next?
This is our best look yet at the upcoming Jetour T-2 for the Philippine market

A couple of weeks ago, we received information that Jetour Auto Philippines has already received regulatory approval for a new vehicle with a 2.0-liter engine. After cross-checking with what the automaker plans on launching in the country soon, it looks like Jetour is making the preparations to launch the T-2 flagship SUV.
Based on what we gathered so far, the PH-spec T-2 could come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that pushes out 255 PS along with 390 Nm of torque. Depending on what the automaker actually brings, the T-2 could be mated to either a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission or an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It may also be fitted with a 4WD system complete with several different driving modes.

Fast forward to the end of January, Jetour Auto has officially launched the T-2 SUV in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). With it, this could be our best look yet at what the Philippine market might get once it’s revealed here.
The UAE-spec T-2 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 254 PS at 5500 rpm along with a generous 390 Nm of torque. It is then paired with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox along with a real-time 4WD system by BorgWarner. It comes with 7 drive modes that include; economy, normal, sport, snow, mud, rock, and X Smart. It even gets crawl control which serves as cruise control while going off-road.
Size-wise, the vehicle measures 4785mm long, 2006mm wide, 1880mm tall, a 2800mm wheelbase, and 220mm of ground clearance.

Don’t expect to see a third row on the T-2 as this Jetour only comes with seating for 5. Occupants are then treated to a luxurious and stylish cabin that comes with a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 64-inch panoramic sunroof, heated/ventilated power-adjustable front seats with memory function, dual-zone automatic climate control, Nubuck leather seats, a power tailgate, a 12-speaker Sony sound system, a power tailgate, and a wireless phone charger.

For extra peace of mind when going on a trail or navigating tight parking lots, the T-2 is equipped with a 360-degree panoramic camera system. It also comes with a wading sensing system to ensure optimal water wading capability, a center differential lock along with a limited-slip differential, a tire pressure monitoring system, remote engine start, and remote parking assistance.
A wide array of intelligent driver aids are also available for the Jetour T-2 in the UAE. These are; blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking with forward (and rear) collision warning, rear-cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and traffic jam assist.

With the Jetour T-2 now available in the UAE, could we expect the PH-spec version of the flagship SUV to have similar equipment levels and features? Watch this space.
