Isuzu PH takes customers to D-Max camp-out

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently wrapped up an exhilarating two-day adventure with D-Max customers and car club members nationwide during the Isuzu D-Max Camp-Out.

This event showcased the D-Max’s impressive off-road capabilities and fuel efficiency, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Crystal Beach, Zambales, and featured eco-driving, overlanding activities, and family fun.

The adventure kicked off at Isuzu Manila, where participants readied their vehicles for a 160-kilometer eco-drive to Petron Subic for a fuel top-up and efficiency check. After documenting their final fuel consumption figures, the convoy journeyed another hour to Crystal Beach, where a hearty lunch awaited before the afternoon’s off-road activities began.

Overland Kings, led by Joel Pedro, engaged the group with an informative Overlanding 101 session. Accompanying them was 4WD expert Beeboy Bargas, who demonstrated essential off-roading techniques, highlighting the D-Max's new Differential Lock System and Rough Terrain Mode.

“This is an excellent hands-on experience for our customers to feel the significant difference between a standard 4x4 setup and the enhanced performance of the D-Max’s Difflock and Rough Terrain Mode,” said IPC President Tetsuya Fujita. “These intelligent features give drivers more control and confidence, especially when navigating tough terrain like this,”

The D-Max’s Differential Lock System allows drivers to lock the rear differential, distributing equal power to both rear wheels for improved traction on uneven or slippery surfaces. Combined with the Rough Terrain Mode, these features significantly enhance the D-Max’s off-road performance, making it an ideal choice for overlanding enthusiasts.

After an exciting afternoon of off-road challenges, the event shifted to family-friendly activities, including a hotdog and hamburger eating contest. Families enjoyed the resort's amenities, emphasizing the D-Max’s versatility as a vehicle for both work and leisure.

The day's festivities culminated in a dinner program, where IPC announced the eco-drive challenge winners. Van Vince Leano topped the list with an impressive fuel efficiency rating of 18.70 km/l, followed by Angelo Dela Cruz at 17.48 km/l and Ronasis Alan Reyes at 16.91 km/l. These results further solidify the D-Max’s reputation for durability and efficiency, even with the new upgrades in the 2024 model.

The event concluded with a delightful dinner catered by SARSA Kitchen, accompanied by live music and entertainment, providing a fitting end to a memorable weekend.
