Isuzu PH recalling select 2020 – 2022 D-Max, mu-X models
Isuzu PH special service campaign on certain D-Max mu-X units due to a second steering shaft bolt issue

Select owners of the all-new Isuzu D-Max and mu-X may want to visit their nearest dealership to have it checked. Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has announced that it's conducting a Special Service Campaign on certain mu-X and D-Max models.
According to the automaker, the lower second steering shaft bolt of affected vehicles may have been tightened below the specified torque rating. Given the road conditions in the country, Isuzu says it may possibly loosen over time. With it, IPC has taken the initiative to inspect and re-tighten the said steering shaft bolt to meet the required torque value as a precautionary measure.

Vehicles that are part of the said recall were produced from 2020 to October 2022 and cover a total of 2,273 units – 1,579 for the mu-X and 694 for the D-Max. Affected customers will be requested to allow authorized IPC dealers to inspect their vehicles for less than 2 hours. The repair and inspection will be free of charge.
Isuzu will notify affected owners through registered mail. In addition, the service campaign will be announced nationwide to inform customers of the issue. However, note that NOT ALL mu-X and D-Max vehicles are affected by the recall.
The full list of affected vehicles with their VIN and engine codes is listed here.
