Isuzu mu-X gets the Arctic Trucks treatment
The Isuzu mu-X AT35 is pumped up and ready to take on any terrain

We've already seen Arctic Trucks do its magic on the all-new D-Max not just once, but twice. Available in either the AT35 or AT33 setup, the D-Max comes with massive all-terrain tires, muscular fender flares, a nudge bar at the front, and roof rails that double as a base for a tent.
But what if you prefer the mu-X to have the Arctic Trucks treatment as well? Not to worry as Isuzu's popular SUV is now also available with the go-anywhere upgrades. Simply called the Isuzu mu-X AT35, the vehicle comes with several key changes.

For starters, the mu-X gets 35-inch all-terrain tires that measure 315/70. Wrapped in 17-inch tires, the massive tires have transformed the mu-X into a beast to cover any terrain with ease. Complementing the tires is a new heavy-duty suspension that raised the mu-X's ground clearance from the standard 235mm to 278mm.
In order to fit the wider wheels, Arctic Trucks put front and rear fender extensions that give the mu-X a bolder and more aggressive look. Other modifications installed on the mu-X by Arctic Trucks include a power winch that can pull up to 5.6 tons, mudguards, an air snorkel, and a skid plate to protect chassis components.

Apart from that, the departure and approach angles have been increased as well. The former now has 30.9 degrees instead of 26.9 degrees while the latter benefits from 36.2 degrees which is a huge upgrade compared to the regular 29.2 degrees.

Powering the mu-X AT35 is the tried-and-tested 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX turbo-diesel engine. No modifications were made as it still makes 190 PS along with 450 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to a 6-speed automatic transmission complete with a 4x4 system.

With the Isuzu mu-X AT35 by Arctic Trucks now available in select markets, we cannot help but feel envious of those that will be able to purchase such a machine. Still, we won't be surprised if other mu-X owners will find inspiration to dress up their own SUV to look like what Arctic Trucks built.
