Is Toyota PH preparing to launch Land Cruiser 300 HEV?
After the Lexus LX 700h, it looks like the hybrid version of the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 is coming soon

Remember when Toyota announced an electrified version of the Land Cruiser 300 earlier this year? Instead of simply using a 48V mild-hybrid system, Toyota actually launched a proper hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) variant of the Land Cruiser 300. It's now available in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and will soon be offered in Australia.
With HEVs continuing to grow in popularity, we're wondering if Toyota Motor Philippines plans to offer the electrified version of the Land Cruiser 300. Well, we need not wonder anymore since the automaker appears to be making moves behind the scenes.
Recently, Toyota Motor Philippines received regulatory approval to bring a passenger vehicle that's powered by a 3445cc gasoline engine. Looking at the engine displacement, it looks like it's the brand's 3.5L (or 3.4L in other markets) twin-turbo V6 called the V35A. It's part of Toyota's Dynamic Force engines and is seeing use in other Toyota-Lexus models like the all-new GX, LX.
More importantly, the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 is also available as a hybrid, powering the LX 700h. It's been on sale in the Philippines since March 2025 and comes with a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 that's assisted by an electric motor and a nickel-metal hydride battery. It delivers a combined 457 PS with 790 Nm of torque and is coupled to a full-time 4WD system and a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

Since Toyota recently received approval for a new passenger vehicle featuring the same twin-turbo V6, our best guess is that the automaker is already making preparations for the supposed Land Cruiser HEV as early as now. The mystery vehicle also has a hefty reference weight of up to 2,840 kg, which is quite similar to the weight of the Land Cruiser HEV in the UAE.
Specs-wise, the Land Cruiser 300 HEV makes the same amount of power and torque as the LX 700h. A quick look at what the UAE market gets and the electrified SUV puts out 457 PS at 5200 rpm and 790 Nm of torque at 3600 rpm. Meanwhile, the electric motor produces an extra 48 PS with 290 Nm of torque and is powered by a nickel-metal hydride battery.
With Toyota Motor Philippines already securing regulatory approval for a new passenger vehicle that has a 3445cc engine, which translates to a displacement of 3.5 liters, we may not have to wait long for the arrival of the Toyota Land Cruiser HEV.
The only questions now are when the automaker will launch it and how much Toyota will price it. Currently, the diesel-powered 3.3L Land Cruiser retails at a cool PHP 5,758,000.
