Is the Geely Monjaro flagship SUV coming to PH next year?
Aside from the Emgrand, Coolray, Azkarra, and Okavango, Geely PH could also soon offer the Monjaro

When Geely Philippines announced when they were going to be at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), we originally thought the automaker was going to launch either the facelifted Coolray or the big and bold Monjaro (AKA the Xingyue L).
Yesterday, however, Geely instead revealed the GX3 Pro which will likely compete against the likes of the Toyota Raize and Kia Stonic. We said “likely” since Geely only previewed the GX3 Pro as they are currently studying whether to offer it in the country soon.

While the automaker has yet to offer the flagship SUV to the Philippine market, that doesn't mean it's not coming to the country. According to an anonymous source within the automaker, the Monjaro is supposedly set to arrive next year.
No exact specifications yet are available for the upcoming Monjaro. However, a quick look at what other markets get has given us an idea of what to expect. First is its sharp-looking exterior which is dominated by the brand's distinct grille. It also gets a pair of sleek LED headlights and taillights, huge turbine-style alloy wheels, and chrome trim pieces. Size-wise, the Monjaro measures 4770mm long, 1895mm wide, and 1689mm tall. It also has a 2845mm wheelbase which is 30mm longer than the Okavango's.

Inside, a total of three massive displays give the Monjaro a triple-screen layout with each having a resolution of 1920x720. It consists of the instrument display, touchscreen infotainment system, and an additional screen for the front passenger.
Under the hood, the Monjaro is powered by a 2.0-liter Drive-E turbocharged four-cylinder engine that was co-developed with Volvo. It makes 238 PS with 350 Nm of torque and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels.

Could the PH-spec Monjaro get the same features as international markets? We'll keep a close eye on the possible developments (and leaks) should they become available.
