Is Mazda PH bringing the CX-60, CX-90 PHEVs?
It looks like the Mazda CX-60 and CX-90 PHEVs are finally arriving in the country

Mazda Philippines distributor Bermaz Auto Philippines Inc. (BAPI) officially joined the electrified car market when it launched the CX-60 and CX-90 HEVs. Powered by electrified 3.3L turbocharged SkyActiv inline-six engines, both premium crossovers offer plenty of power on tap while also providing customers a more eco-friendly alternative.
With electrified vehicles continuing to become more popular and sought after by car buyers, we’ve been wondering if Mazda Philippines plans to bring the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models of the CX-60 and CX-90. Fortunately, it looks like they plan to reveal them soon.

We recently received information that BAPI got approval to bring two new passenger vehicles into the country. Both cars have an engine displacement of 2488cc and are gasoline-powered SkyActiv motors. Moreover, both vehicles have a reference weight of nearly 2,000 kg, which makes them quite hefty. After doing some research and crunching the numbers, it looks like the CX-60 and CX-90 PHEV will make their Philippine debut soon.
Based on what other markets get, the PHEV versions of the CX-60 and CX-90 come with a 2488cc engine, which translates to a 2.5L displacement. The engine alone makes 188 PS with 250 Nm of torque in the CX-60, while the CX-90 puts out a little bit more with 192 PS and 260 Nm. But thanks to an electric motor and a 17.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the plug-in hybrid crossovers have a combined system output of 328 PS and 500 Nm of torque.

This makes the Mazda CX-60 and CX-90 PHEVs more powerful than the ICE versions and also gives them the ability to travel on pure electric power over certain distances. In fact, Mazda claims the CX-60 PHEV can travel over 60 km without using a drop of fuel, while the CX-90 can cover up to 42 km on electric power alone.
As plug-in hybrid models continue to become more popular in the country, it’s not surprising that Mazda Philippines has apparently decided to pull the trigger on the CX-60 and CX-90 PHEVs. The only question now is, can we expect them to arrive later this year or in 2026?
