Is Lexus gearing up to launch all-new GX, TX in PH?
Lexus may be looking to offer all-new GX, TX in PH soon

After officially launching the all-new RZ as its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) in the country, we could have a few more models to look forward to from Lexus Philippines.
Toyota's luxury brand has been busy in the global market launching all-new models like the LM, the TX 7-seater crossover SUV, and the rugged GX. If we're right about this one, we may see most of them in the country soon.
The Lexus brand is under the Toyota Motor Philippines umbrella, and we have spotted that they have received quite a few more approvals for passenger vehicles. Among those were engines that had exact displacements of 3445cc, and the other has 3456cc.

After doing our research using the engine capacity, the numbers led us to the V35A-FTS and the 2GR-FXS engines. The former checks out as a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 that's being used by the Lexus LX600, and more recently, the all-new Lexus GX550.

Most people will definitely be excited about the all-new GX, as Lexus leveled up the SUV as a “premium off-roader”. It has gone from sharing components with the Fortuner to having the TNGA-F platform of its bigger sibling, the LX.

On the other hand, the 2GR-FXS is a 3.5-liter, naturally aspirated V6 with a hybrid system. It was used by the 2015-2022 Lexus RX450h and the 2016-2019 Toyota Highlander, and now it's present under the hood of the all-new Lexus TX550h+.

Basically, the TX is the spiritual successor of the RX L, which was previously Lexus' offering for a midsize three-row crossover. It has the practicality and refinement of a seven-seater crossover with the comparable space of luxury SUVs like the LX.
As for its Philippine release, your guess is still as good as ours. But given the timelines, we could be looking at a late 2023 or early 2024 launch for these models.
