Is Hyundai PH bringing Ioniq 5 EV to PIMS 2022?
Hyundai PH may have something big in store at PIMS 2022

The return of the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) is set to happen next week. And usually, on the days leading up to the big event, manufacturers send out invites, press releases, and more importantly, a glimpse of what to see at the motor show.
Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) is one of the newest members of CAMPI, or the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc., which will be out to showcase its latest offerings in the Philippine market. And based on their invite, we may have a clue on what to expect from them at PIMS 2022.

HMPH previously confirmed the arrival of the Ioniq 5 EV and the Palisade SUV when they recently held the formal launching of their new vehicle lineup in the country. While Hyundai is yet to say what models they are bringing to PIMS, the manufacturer may be staging the preview of the all-electric crossover on their opening day presentation, as the Korean manufacturer just sent us an invite showing the Ioniq 5.
For the record, the Ioniq 5 is regarded as one of Hyundai's most popular (and best-selling) electric vehicles, which is already on sale in global markets. In fact, it was crowned as the 2022 World Car of the Year with its future-oriented design, spacious cabin, and long driving range.

The Ioniq 5 comes in either a single or dual electric motor setup. The rear-wheel-drive single-motor model makes 168 PS, while the all-wheel-drive dual motor produces 306 PS. Paired with either a 58 or 72.8 kWh battery unit, the Ioniq 5 can reach up to 460 km of driving range on a single charge.
Since this year's PIMS focuses on sustainable mobility for humanity, the Ioniq 5 clearly fits the theme of the motor show. Hyundai may also be thinking the same. But of course, we'd rather see for ourselves once the 8th edition of PIMS happens on September 15 to 18 at the World Trade Center.
