Hyundai PH updates 2025 Tucson with new face and a hybrid

The Tucson is one of Hyundai’s long-standing models in the Philippine market. It’s the Korean automaker’s answer to the likes of the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4 in the compact crossover segment.

With its two main competitors having gained better efficiency thanks to electrification, Hyundai Motor Philippines has now given the Tucson its own dose of electrification; say hello to the 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid.

For starters, the new Tucson Hybrid is unveiled with a mildly refreshed exterior design, starting with the revised parametric grille that has more angular lines and LED daytime running lights featuring a new light signature. The headlight housing and the lower part of the bumper have also been tweaked to give a wider appearance.

At the back, the decorative skid plates have also been integrated into the rear bumper molding, and the refreshed design is capped off with a new 19-inch alloy wheel design.

Step inside the new Tucson Hybrid and you’re welcomed with a heavily revised interior. The “waterfall” design for the dashboard is no more; there's a brand-new dashboard design that houses twin 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment and instrument cluster, much like what we saw with the electric IONIQ 5. In terms of smartphone connectivity, the new Tucson Hybrid has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with wireless charging and multiple USB-C ports inside.

There’s also a new three-spoke steering wheel with a column-mounted shifter, a revised center console, and the lower part of the dash features the new climate control system with dual knobs and touch-sensitive panels.

Powering the new Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder T-GDI engine paired with a 47.7 kW electric motor and a 1.49 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Together, the hybrid system produces a combined 235 PS at 5500 rpm and 367 Nm of torque at 1500-4400 rpm, delivering its power to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Meanwhile, the 2.0-liter gas and 2.0-liter CRDi diesel models remain in the lineup and will also feature the same exterior and interior changes alongside the new hybrid variant.

As with Hyundai’s latest models, the new Tucson Hybrid comes with the Hyundai Smartsense suite, featuring advanced driving assist systems such as Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, among others.

The 2025 Hyundai Tucson is now available for reservation in any Hyundai dealership nationwide, and comes in the following prices:
