HMPH takes over maintenance of Hyundai PNP patrol cars

The country's national police force has a new partner in taking care of its Hyundai vehicle fleet.

Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) formally pledged to extend its aftersales support to the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) existing fleet of Hyundai Patrol Cars. This comprises 81 Grand Starex and 49 Elantra units which were turned over by the Republic of Korea (ROK), through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Korean National Police Agency (KNPA).

The signed agreement shall range for 2 years but is subject to an extension on the account of both parties. Furthermore, KOICA through KNPA has committed to PNP financial aid which covers USD 245,000 worth of preventive maintenance and related services as well as USD 145,000 worth of Hyundai Genuine parts, components, and materials. These shall be fulfilled and carried out through the 39 Authorized Dealers or Service Centers nationwide under HMPH.

“PNP’s fleet of Hyundai patrol vehicles will be kept at the highest level of operational reliability and roadworthiness thanks to the expert care of our certified technicians and aftersales personnel. Not only that, they can be assured that every time, only the latest diagnostics equipment and genuine compatible parts will be used” added Lee.

Meanwhile, Police Major General Ronaldo Olay, PNP's Director for Logistics welcomes the new partnership with HMPH.

“As the life of human beings is important, similarly, the vehicle life and condition are also important. This is in line with the CPNP’s peace and security framework entitled MKK=K which stands for Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapan, and Kaunlaran. Today falls under Malasakit, which can be aligned and dubbed as ‘Malasakit para sa Kagamitan nang Kapulisan’ which will help save resources of the government in general” said Olay.
