Here's your first look at Geely's new pickup truck
Will the Geely pickup be a pure EV or will it have internal combustion under the hood?

A couple of weeks ago, AutoIndustriya.com reported that Geely has been supposedly preparing to launch its first-ever electric pickup truck. To be launched under a new brand called RADAR (Rational Alone Discovery Accompany Romantic), it will serve as Geely’s adventure-focused, outdoor lifestyle EV line.
While we only managed to get some grainy spy photos of the pick-up wearing camouflage, Geely has now officially released the first teaser images of the upcoming electric vehicle (EV), and boy does it look promising.

Despite still having a camo livery, we managed to get a better look at what we can expect once the automaker unveils it. Based on initial impressions, the truck appears to have an Okavango-like face complete with a distinct grille, eye-catching LED headlights, sleek LED daytime running lights, and a sporty front bumper.
We also got a good look at the pickup’s rear which comes with wraparound LED taillights, an LED lightbar on the tailgate, as well as a step board on the rear bumper. Other details seen on the camouflaged EV include black body cladding, muscular fenders and wheel arches, a clamshell-style hood, and running boards on the side.

Other details about the truck are not yet available. But based on our previous report, it will have a flexible modular platform that will incorporate a flat battery pack, as well as the option to have single, double, or triple electric motors. There’s also the possibility that the pickup could be available with a turbocharged or hybrid powertrain.
With the truck reportedly set to be revealed later this month, all eyes are on Geely as to whether it will be a fully-electric vehicle, or if it will still be available with a traditional internal combustion engine with a little help from electrification. We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that the automaker actually brings it here soon.
