Here's a glimpse of the 2024 Subaru Impreza
Next-gen Subaru Impreza could look like the all-new Crosstrek

Last week, Subaru announced that it was going to reveal the all-new Impreza at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show. Based on the teaser image and initial press release, the next-generation model will be revealed in hatchback form and has been billed as a 2024 model year vehicle.
Other details about the all-new hatchback are not yet available. However, Subaru has decided to release another teaser photo of the soon-to-be-revealed model a week before it’s unveiled at the upcoming auto show.

Despite only releasing a single photo, it seems our hunch that it will share its looks with the all-new Crosstrek (formerly the XV) might be spot on. While we only get a glimpse of the stylish front end, the headlights of the 2024 Impreza appear to be the same as the ones in the Crosstrek.
Looking at the bumper, however, it doesn’t get as much cladding as the crossover since. It also gets a different front grille which looks like it was derived from the all-new WRX albeit not as aggressive.

The rest of the vehicle has yet to be shown although Subaru did mention that the next-generation Impreza will “take the model’s up-for-anything versatility, capability, and style to new places”. It’s also been implied that it will sit on a modified Subaru Global Platform (SGP) which is already seeing use in the new Crosstrek, WRX, and Levorg.
Powertrain details are still not yet available. But since the Crosstrek pretty much shares its powertrain with the Impreza, the all-new sedan could come with a 2.0-liter electrified flat-four dubbed e-Boxer. In addition, it might also be available with a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated flat-four engine. A Lineartronic CVT and Symmetrical AWD system will also likely come as standard in the 2024 Impreza.
With just a few days to go before the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show, we’ll be waiting for the official reveal of the next-generation Impreza next week.
