Here are the toll rates for Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway

Last week, the 8.9-km Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) was officially opened to the public. With Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3 vehicles allowed to enter the 8.9-km expressway, those who need to get from Metro Cebu to Cordova in Mactan Island (and vice versa) can shorten their travel time via the newly-opened bridge.

But just how much do you have to pay in order to use the almost 9-km expressway? Wonder no more as the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corp. (CCLEC) has officially revealed the toll rates for the recently-opened bridge.

Approved and authorized by the Local Toll Regulatory Council (LTRC), the toll rates were computed by the LGU-Grantors based on the Concession Agreement for the CCLEX. The toll rates for CCLEX are as follows:

-PHP 90 for Class 1 vehicles such as cars, jeepneys, vans, and motorcycles. The CCLEC, however, is still looking into how much of a discount to give for motorcycles below 400cc.

-PHP 180 for Class 1 vehicles above 7 ft in height (except when the top load are recreational equipment such as bikes, surfboards, and the like which must be securely fastened and not intended for commercial use)

-PHP 180 for Class 2 vehicles such as light trucks, tourists/school buses, and public utility buses (PUBs)

-PHP 270 for Class 3 vehicles such as heavy and multi-axle trucks and trailers.

For now, the expressway accepts cash payments as CCLEC is still giving motorists more time to have RFID stickers installed on their vehicles/motorcycles. Come June of this year, the electronic toll collection system will be fully implemented for a more seamless and faster use of the 8.9-km bridge.

For Cebuanos who are looking to get from Metro Cebu to Mactan Island (and back) via the CCLEX, better have cash (or your RFID card) on hand before you enter the newly-opened expressway. As an additional reminder, pedestrians and motorcycles below 400cc will only be allowed entry starting in July.
