Haval H9: Is GWM Philippines ready to launch its turbo-diesel SUV?
It looks like the GWM Haval H9 AWD 9AT will make its official debut in PH soon

Earlier this year, GWM Philippines distributor Luxuriant Automotive Group Inc. (LAGI) previewed the Haval H9 at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). It's a full-size SUV that's powered by a turbo-diesel engine and could give the stalwarts of the 7-seater body-on-frame market something to think about.
Several months after it was previewed at MIAS, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) granted regulatory approval to the Haval H9, further solidifying its eventual launch in the Philippines. Now, GWM Philippines has posted a new teaser photo of the upcoming turbo-diesel SUV.

Its last appearance was during the AutoIndustriya.com XXV Car Week in Greenhills recently, where it received significant interest from mallgoers.
Based on their social media post, their latest vehicle is built for bigger adventures and is ready for the journey ahead. Other details about the SUV have yet to be revealed, but the automaker did say that the reveal will happen soon.
According to the LTO Memorandum Circular for GWM's new SUV, the 7-seater turbo-diesel's full name is Haval H9 AWD 9AT. This confirms the 9-speed automatic gearbox and the AWD system the H9 will have. It also has a 2390cc turbo-diesel engine, which translates to an exact displacement of 2.4L. That means it will likely share the same turbo-diesel heart as the refreshed Cannon pickup truck that makes 186 PS with 480 Nm of torque.

In-car amenities have yet to be revealed in full, but based on what they previewed a few months ago, the Haval H9 will have features such as a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, tan leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, and three rows of seats with a seating layout of 2-3-2.

With GWM Philippines teasing the eventual launch of the Haval H9, we won't be surprised if the automaker decides to fully reveal the SUV in Q1 2026.
