GWM sold 100,061 units globally in April 2025
GWM PH also achieved a 124% sales increase over its April 2025 sales target

Great Wall Motor (GWM) continues to make waves in the global automotive market after the automaker was able to sell a total of 100,061 units globally in April 2025. This milestone highlights the brand’s rising global appeal, robust product lineup, and commitment to innovation across both traditional and New Energy Vehicles (NEVs).
Based on GWM’s figures, NEVs dominated the sales milestone, which accounted for 28,831 units sold. This also translates to 28.42% year-on-year growth for GWM’s NEV sales. On the other hand, boxy vehicle sales reached 43,182 units, which represents a 24.74% sales increase when compared to the same period last year. These figures solidify GWM’s leadership in the high-demand segments of NEVs and rugged, off-road-ready vehicles.
GWM claims the continued global growth was fueled by the brand’s diverse portfolio, which includes the Tank, Haval, POER or also known as Cannon in the Philippines, ORA, and Wey nameplates.

In the Philippines, GWM is riding a strong momentum after the company achieved a 124% increase over its April sales target. This performance marks another high point for GWM Philippines as it continues to gain traction in a competitive automotive market. For the company, this exceptional performance would not have been possible without the unwavering support of its customers, the dedication of its dealer principals, and the efforts of the entire GWM Philippines Team. The automaker wishes to extend its deepest appreciation to everyone whose commitment to excellence continues to drive our success and elevate the brand to new heights.
“As we step into May, we carry this momentum with confidence. The passion, hard work, and collaboration across our network empower us to aim higher and reach further. We are committed to sustaining this growth by offering top-notch vehicles at an affordable price that exceed expectations and redefine value in the Filipino automotive landscape,” said Dax Avenido, Brand Head & Marketing Director at GWM Philippines.

Adding to GWM Philippines were the launch of the updated 2025 Cannon pickup truck and the preview of the Haval H9 diesel SUV. In celebration of the recent launch, the brand is offering a special limited-time promo: the first 100 customers to purchase the new GWM Cannon will receive Free 5-Year Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS)—on top of the brand’s industry-leading 7-year warranty. This offer underscores our ongoing commitment to providing maximum value, reliability, and peace of mind to every GWM owner.
Meanwhile, the Haval H9 is set to make a statement once GWM Philippines finalizes its spec list and pricing. Once revealed, the Haval H9 is expected to disrupt the likes of the Fortuner, Montero Sport, mu-X, and perhaps even the Land Cruiser Prado.
