GWM Haval Raptor gets updated design and powertrain for 2026
2026 GWM Haval Raptor PHEV offers up to 151 km of all-electric range

It’s been a while since we last saw the GWM Haval Menglong in the country, otherwise known as the Haval Raptor. GWM Philippines seems to be taking its time evaluating if the model will be a good fit for our market.
But while they’re at it, the model has now been refreshed in China. GWM has launched the updated Haval Raptor PHEV, featuring exterior changes, an upgraded interior tech, and a revised Hi4 powertrain.

On the outside, the Haval Raptor now gets a less prominent grille, along with a smaller Haval badge in the center. The headlights are now square-shaped, featuring a full-width light strip for enhanced illumination.

At the back, the two elements of the taillights are now combined in a single unit and contain 300 red LED beads. The rest of the body is carried over from the pre-facelift model, but the new Haval Raptor gets a different design for its 19-inch wheels.

Inside, the Haval Raptor gets a new dual-spoke steering wheel, while the gear selector has been moved to the steering column. Much like the pre-updated version, the Haval Raptor offers electric seat adjustment with heating and ventilation, along with premium features like a panoramic sunroof, rear sunshades, and a heads-up display.
Powering the new Haval Raptor is a combination of a 1.5-liter turbo engine and two electric motors. The plug-in hybrid powertrain’s combined output is 449 PS and 750 Nm of torque, which takes the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds.

A bigger 35.43 kWh ternary lithium battery gives the Haval Raptor an all-electric range of up to 151 km in the WLTC cycle. Likewise, the Hi4 AWD system is updated to further improve torque vectoring, as well as mode-switching times.
Should GWM Philippines consider offering the Haval Raptor in the future, then we can take this as our first look at the updated model.
