Gran Turismo 7's update 1.36 lets you race a Toyota Hiace ambulance
Gran Turismo 7's patch 1.36 update brings a rather unusual addition to the game's car lineup

If you've long been playing Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo franchise, you'll know that it's standard practice for them to steadily add updates and new content every now and then to enhance the gaming experience.
Speaking of which, the latest version 1.36 update of Gran Turismo 7 is now available, and they have added four new cars as well as new GT Cafe Menu Books and a "Gran Turismo movie". However, we rather saw something interesting and unusual about the newest addition to the game's vehicle lineup.

Apart from the Toyota GR Corolla Morizo edition, the 1958 Chevrolet Corvette C1, and the latest Maserati MC20, players now have the option of adding a Toyota Hiace ambulance to their garage. Yes, we kid you not.
But there's a catch though; for now you can only get it as a free reward by streaming the Gran Turismo World Series Nations Cup. And if you don't, you're going to have to wait until late September for the Toyota Hiace ambulance to be added to Brand Central.
It turns out, unit issues and wait lists also exist in the Gran Turismo world. But hey, it's only in GT7 where you get the chance to blast through Nurburgring in a Hiace ambulance, complete with sirens and all. Better fire up your PlayStations then to enjoy the new update.
